Qualified candidates should have 0 to 4 years experience and possess a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering (with a Geotechnical Focus) and have the ability to obtain professional licensure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. A strong attention to detail and technical understanding is required.  Additional consideration will be given to candidates with experience in deep foundations (driven/drilled foundations, ground improvement, grouting and support-of-excavation) for both private and public clients.  Previous soil management and MCP-driven subsurface investigation experience is also a plus.

A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required.

Sanborn Head is looking for a geotechnical engineer to join our team located in our Westford and Boston, MA offices. Typical Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and perform engineering analyses, field investigations, and construction monitoring;
  • Collect, interpret and analyze field and laboratory data;
  • Prepare reports, design plans, cost estimates, specifications and other deliverables;
  • Assist with project management tasks, including developing proposals, budgets and attending meetings, commensurate with experience.
