Our Westford, Massachusetts office is looking for an entry level civil or environmental engineer with up to two years of related experience.  Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in civil/environmental engineering, or equivalent education.  Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail are essential.  Preference will be given to candidates with an EIT/FE certification, solid waste engineering experience, civil/site design experience, or proficient AutoCAD Civil 3D skills.  Qualified candidates may be requested to obtain Nuclear Gauge Safety Training, OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and annual 8-hr Refresher training.

A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required.

Examples of the position responsibilities include:

  • Use engineering software to prepare calculations supporting: (i) stormwater management, hydrology, and drainage designs; (ii) slope stability evaluations; (iii) and landfill designs;
  • Assist senior engineers in preparing design, permitting, and construction documents;
  • Prepare, read and interpret design drawings and calculations;
  • Use AutoCAD Civil 3D as a design tool to: (i) prepare engineering drawings and related graphics; (ii) perform calculations; and (iii) integrate with other engineering software;
  • Document construction activities;
  • Environmental sampling and soils testing; and
  • Prepare technical reports and other documents.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to be involved with a group of professionals advancing civil, geotechnical, and environmental permitting, design, and construction projects related to waste management, clean energy, brownfield redevelopment, and water resources.
