Qualifications: 

Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in civil/environmental engineering, or equivalent education. Must be safety oriented and have good attention to detail. Should have basic proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office products (CAD experience a plus).

This individual must be able to:

  • Manage multiple landfill gas operations projects and make key tactical decisions in real time.
  • Understand and balance concurrent demands of clients, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
  • Understand and work with applicable USEPA and state-specific regulations.
  • Communicate clearly and frequently with project team members and clients.
  • Travel and work extended hours, when needed.
  • Work independently.

A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required.

Sanborn Head is seeking an entry level civil or environmental engineer to join our Randolph, VT office. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to grow your technical and communication skills and help provide our clients with strategic advice they value.

As part of our team, you will support landfill gas operations and monitoring projects at sites throughout Vermont and New Hampshire by performing a variety of services such as:

  • Gas collection system well tuning and monitoring;
  • Landfill surface emissions monitoring and cover integrity inspections;
  • Routine wellhead maintenance;
  • Field sampling and data collection;
  • Completion of associated paperwork (e.g., field data sheets, equipment calibration logs, etc.)
  • Data management through our Landfill Gas Management Suite database; and
  • Support for preparation of monthly operations and monitoring reports.
