Sanborn Head's Joan Fontaine Presents at the EUEC 2017 Conference

Sanborn Head's Energy Leaders, Michael Nicoloro and Joan Fontaine attended the Energy, Utility and Environment Conference (EUEC), February 8-10, 2017. Joan Fontaine gave a presentation on Modular LNG: Alternative Back-up Energy Supply for Power Generations.

Abstract:
Resilience is becoming increasingly more important for those plant managers in the power generation arena in dealing with RTO/ISO “pay for performance” penalties. Whether it’s a coal-fired power plant requiring natural gas for start-up or a facility that has dual fuel capability, natural gas pipeline curtailments can impact these operations across a wide geography.

This presentation will focus on the siting, design, regulatory requirements and high level costs associated with a liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage and vaporization facility. The following will be addressed:

• LNG Facility design basis
• Environmental Considerations
• Major LNG equipment descriptions
• LNG Facility siting considerations
• Proposed sequence of operations for the LNG equipment
• Considerations associated with procurement of the LNG Facility
• Conceptual layout drawings
• High level cost information
