As the world’s largest cranberry grower, A.D. Makepeace owns and operates over 20 dams ranging from small, non-jurisdictional to large, high hazard.

To help meet their regulatory needs and for future planning and maintenance, Sanborn Head provided Phase II investigation and inspection services, strategies for dam hazard re-classification and compliance, as well as, professional services from permitting (Wetlands Protection Act, USACE Section 404, and Massachusetts DCR Chapter 253) through design and rehabilitation for one of their larger dams – Glen Charles Pond Dam located in Wareham, MA – a large, significant hazard, 400-foot long, 20-foot tall earthen embankment dam with a concrete ogee spillway.
