Originally built in the 1950’s, the Stow Center Elementary School was in need of significant renovation and expansion to meet the needs of the Town of Stow, Massachusetts.  The new expanded school facility will provide space for up to 780 students and staff.

Sanborn Head provided geotechnical engineering and construction monitoring services for the new building construction, design and preparation of permits to meet MADEP regulations for the new public water supply well (a 380-foot deep bedrock well); supply well pumping tests, hydrogeological services to support the design of the stormwater infiltration and wastewater disposal systems; Title V Soil Evaluator observations, and groundwater mounding analyses.  In addition, Sanborn Head prepared design plans and specifications for the well pump, piping system, and the drinking water treatment system.
