Russ leads our Industrial market group and is helping to shape the future of our practice around our clients’ evolving needs. In addition to new business development, in his role, Russ is responsible for the client experience, our technical practices, and the professional development of our staff in the group. He is a key member of our Legal Support Services team, acting as a technical lead and consulting expert in many litigation matters focused on environmental contaminants. Russ is a graduate of Amherst College and earned a master’s degree in geoscience from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
In line with his specialization in legal matters, Russ serves on the Marketing Committee of E2 Tech, is an active member of the Licensed Site Professional Association, the American Bar Association Section of Energy and Environment, and the Environmental Law Institute.
Russ’ favorite part of the job is working with a diverse team to address complex issues for clients. He finds it especially rewarding when his team uses technical creativity, an innovative approach, or a less-common technology to develop a solution. He enjoys the satisfaction of partnering with clients to help them achieve their goals.
Outside of work, Russ loves sharing his passions with his family, including skiing, hiking, camping, canoeing, and international travel. He also has a deep interest in history and enjoys broadening his knowledge by reading biographies of US presidents, and books about world events, and other cultures.
Russ is a Professional Geologist in Maine, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.
