In addition to working on projects involving fate‐and‐transport modeling, exposure assessment, and risk assessment, Steve has provided litigation support and expert witness testimony for private and public sector clients. He is a frequent presenter at conferences and has published numerous articles on topics related to environmental modeling and risk assessment. Steve attended Carnegie Mellon University; he earned a master’s degree and PhD in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Recently, Steve was elected to the Brownfield Coalition of the Northeast (BCONE) Board of Directors, where he will assist with promoting BCONE’s mission for stakeholder engagement on brownfield remediation and sustainable redevelopment in the Northeastern United States.
Steve’s favorite part of the job is working directly with clients and the public to help them better understand the results of a project and the environmental issues at hand. Steve takes pride in being able to demystify the results of a risk assessment for clients and stakeholders, so they can understand the essential elements.
Steve teaches university-level courses on air quality management and air pollution control. On the weekends, he enjoys exploring his home state of Vermont and the Green Mountains on foot and on cross-country skis. Steve is a Red Sox fan, and he likes to visit craft breweries; he occasionally creates his own home brew.
Steve is a Professional Engineer in Massachusetts.
