Fostering a collaborative culture has always been top of mind at Sanborn Head. When I joined the firm a couple of years ago, I was pleased to discover that as the firm achieved success, they were also dedicated to paying it forward by giving back in meaningful and impactful ways. Partnering with local charities, donating funds, participating in STEM mentoring programs at local schools and universities, and sharing services and knowledge with organizations around the world are just a few of the ways that Sanborn Head and staff work together for the greater good.

Paying it forward in 2019 did not fall short as we partnered with the YWCA of Greater Lowell, United Way, and the Boston Rescue Mission, to name a few. Some of the highlights from 2019 included:

  • Lunch and LEGOs with the kids and tending to the community garden at the YWCA;
  • Volunteering for the Granite United Way Day of Caring;
  • Running in the Halloween-themed Wicked FIT Run, benefiting Families in Transition-New Horizons;
  • Building deer enclosures for The Nature Conservancy in Vermont to help protect newly-planted trees from foraging deer and restore the overall ecosystem health of the LaPlatte Headwaters;
  • Serving meals at the Boston Rescue Mission; and
  • Holiday gift donations to KidSafe Collaborative, Single Parents Program Holiday Sponsorship Program at Champlain College, and Steps to End Domestic Violence holiday giving program.

As we start the new year, we look forward to continuing our work with these and other organizations with the hope of building strength within our communities and making a difference overall.
