Harrison Roakes, P.E. and Stephen Zemba, Ph.D., P.E. represented Sanborn Head at the Air & Waste Management Association’s 112th Annual Conference & Exhibition (June 25-28) in Quebec City, Canada.
The Conference was a great opportunity for environmental professionals to exchange ideas and discuss new solutions for environment, energy and health issues.
On June 25, Stephen joined a panel discussion on Per and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS), where technical challenges, litigation issues and solutions were discussed. Later in the afternoon, Stephen presented with Harrison, on perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) Fate and Transport and discussed soil as a potential reservoir for PFOA in the environment. Harrison presented again on June 27, and discussed the subject of Light Non-Aqueous Phase Liquid (LNAPL) Site Closure Using Non-Traditional Field Data and Analysis. Stephen presented on the Comparison of Greenhouse Gas Emission: Waste-to-Energy vs Landfilling that same day.
