Russell Abell, PG, LSP, has been promoted to Senior Vice President. Russ is the leader of the Industrial market team and has helped lead this group through a period of transformational growth. Russ has overseen the expansion of the group’s emerging contaminant (e.g. PFAS and Vapor Intrusion) services, the geographic expansion of the firm into the mid-Atlantic, and a broadening client base that includes legal support services to attorneys. Russ’ leadership through the pandemic has helped engage and empower our technical staff, while also reinventing how we present our technical capabilities in the marketplace.
Christopher Finnegan, PE, has been promoted to Vice President. Chris is a subject matter expert in electrical systems and controls and possesses a deep knowledge of mechanical/process design for natural gas infrastructure. He is sought out by clients and staff alike for this expertise and recognized for his project management discipline, dedication to quality and consistently responsive service. Beyond his technical leadership, Chris is also a supervisor and a member of the Health & Safety Committee. Chris’ multi-faceted leadership is a key contributor to the success of the firm’s Energy practice.
Bradley Green, PG, has been promoted to Senior Vice President. Brad has played a significant role in advancing the state of our technical practice for high-resolution site characterization. Brad, a member of the firm’s Industrial practice, has also helped expand Sanborn Head’s data management and visualization capabilities to include database advancements and visually sophisticated spatial analysis and 3D presentation. Brad is a staff supervisor who, through mentorship and advocacy, openly passes along his knowledge to his team. He has expanded his leadership through involvement with the University Consortium for Field-Focused Groundwater Research.
Matthew Heil, PE, LSP, has been promoted to Vice President. Matt, a technical leader in the firm’s Development practice, is highly regarded for his expertise in Massachusetts Contingency Plan services, environmental due diligence, and hydrogeological work. Matt’s collaborative style helps integrate Sanborn Head’s environmental and geotechnical practices to create value on behalf of the firm’s clients. Matt’s passion for technical challenges, dogged curiosity, and gift for sharing his knowledge with others are valued by staff and clients, alike. Matt’s professionalism and collegial work style builds trust and creates opportunity for clients and Sanborn Head.
Patrick Malone, PE, has been promoted to Project Director. Pat is a key technical lead in the Development group’s environmental practice. He combines a commitment for technical excellence and solving complex problems for clients with a commitment to quality and highly responsive service. Pat is particularly skilled at fostering great project teams and working collaboratively across the organization to advance initiatives on scenario planning and data management and visualization. Pat is also highly effective at engaging and building trusted relationships with clients, and he has been successful at growing existing client relationships and developing new business opportunities.
Luke Norton, PE, has been promoted to Project Director. Luke is a technical expert who distinguishes himself through leadership of projects and people for the firm’s Development group. Luke is well known for his soil classification acumen and his talent for addressing hydrogeological challenges, and he is skilled at integrating his expertise to provide construction-phase support on geotechnical projects. His integrity, commitment to quality, and thoughtful approach engender trust with both clients and colleagues. Within the firm, Luke is a team supervisor and a dedicated teacher, mentor, and coach who excels at guiding others and providing tools to support learning and growth.
Jennifer Sanborn, PE, has been elected to Sanborn Head’s Board of Directors. Jenn, who was elected by the firm’s shareholders, began her three-year term on January 1, 2021. In addition to her perspective as an experienced environmental engineer, Jenn brings to the Board particular expertise in risk management and a passion for staff development. Jenn has also assumed the role of Director of Staff Development to continue work that cultivates a culture of learning, engagement, and opportunity for our people. Jenn is actively involved in the Geoprofessional Business Association, student mentorship at UNH, and the NH Chapter of Engineers without Borders.
