Sanborn Head sponsored the American Council of Engineering Companies of Vermont (ACEC/VT’s) 5th Annual Environmental Protection Technical Workshop held on November 12.
In addition to sponsoring this virtual event, Russ Abell, PG, LSP presented, Evaluating Closure Strategies and the Role of Optimization. The presentation included discussion on evaluating strategies to achieve site closure or at least higher future cost certainty in the current environment and the role that optimization can play in achieving better outcomes. Several case studies were presented where optimization was effectively used to terminate active remediation or optimize the system with clear end points in regulatory programs that have historically shied away from such solutions.
Workshop closing remarks were provided by Sanborn Head’s Brian Beaudoin, PE.
